David Dean Wyant, 82, of Collinsville, Ill., born Jan. 16, 1934, in Decatur, Ill., died March 25, 2016.

David worked as a horseshoer for many years.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet; parents, Charles and Wilma, nee Ellis, Wyant; a sister, Joan Sapp; and a niece, Donna Lynn Keathley.

Surviving are his children, Brenda Mcelwee (fiance, Mark Greenawalt) of Decatur Ill., and Richard Wyant of Minnesota; grandchildren, Sarah (Austin) Ray, Mylissa Greenawalt, and Rachael (Matt) McRae; a step-grandson, Chayse Greenawalt; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Samuel McRae; nephews, Steve, Robert, and David William Sapp; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to thank Belleville Memorial Hospital for their kindness and care during David's stay there.
