Deborah Christine Hockett (nee Gaeschel), 67 years old, was born on April 9, 1953, in East St. Louis, IL, and passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at her home in Ashley, IL.

Deborah was self-employed for many years, enjoyed her dachshunds, and the many friends she made throughout the years. She enjoyed recreational shooting with Dave and Janet Hockett, her brother and sister-in-law, at the local gun ranges.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Virginia Geaschel (nee Barton).

Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Richard Hockett Sr.; her children, Thomas (Deborah) Hockett Jr. and Valerie (Micheal) Lamczyk; her sister, Rhonda Planitz; her grandchildren, KaeLynn Lamczyk, Kane Lamczyk, Kyle Lamczyk, Shawn Hockett, and Christopher Rybacki; her godchild, Jimmy Planitz; her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Scarlett, and Brayden; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Cremation rites are in the care of Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL.
