Deborah Lynn (Oram) Rose, originally of Granite City, Illinois, transitioned peacefully in the arms of her loving husband on Tuesday morning, December 21, 2021, at their home in Glen Carbon, Illinois after a courageous battle with cancer.
"Debbie" as she was affectionately known was born in Granite City, Illinois on January 30, 1952, to Thomas E. and Norma (Statler) Oram, both deceased. She graduated from Granite City Senior High School, class of 1970. Debbie retired in June 2015, from Brown & James Law firm, St. Louis, Missouri, as an administrative clerk.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, she had a passion for sewing, reading the Bible (KJV) and sharing her new found knowledge of her Christian faith with others. Debbie had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Larry E. Rose of almost 9 years; her brother, Thomas E. Oram Jr. and his partner Renee of Dillion, MT; daughter, Amy (Burch) Warren and her partner Johnny of Glen Carbon, IL, and their two children: Dominic of St. Louis, MO and Ashley of Glen Carbon, IL; daughter, Gretchen Paolini and her partner Christopher Sr. of Granite City, IL; and their children: Christopher Paolini, Summer Paolini, and Hunter Paolini; the Paolini family brought 3 beautiful great grandchildren into the family, Kaden, Archer and Karmen besides being survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Debbie touched are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering on Monday, December 27, 2021, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, IL, reminisce, grieve, support each other and of course, just chat. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
