Delores V. Herzberg, 72, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on July 14, 2021, at Highland Health Care.

Delores was born April 26, 1949, to George and Virginia (Graham) Cook in Blackwell, Missouri. She began her 22 year career with Wal-Mart in 1987 and retired in 2009.  She married Kevin Herzberg on June 25, 1994, and spent over 28 years together.

She loved her grandchildren and was known to spoil them and send them back home to their parents.  She enjoyed going out to eat and meeting her friends to hang out and have lunch once a month.  She enjoyed coloring and playing games on her phone.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers: Donald and Leonard Cook.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Herzberg of Collinsville, Illinois; sons:  Louis (Peggy) George of Hartford, Illinois, and Ricky (Paulette) George of Troy, Illinois; daughter, Angie (Michael) Briggs of Collinsville, Illinois; brothers: Clint (Marilyn) Cook of Caledonia, Missouri, and Dennis (Tina) Cook of Belleville, Illinois; sister, Mary (Bob) Brown of Fenton, Missouri; grandchildren:  Cameron George, Courtney George, Caylee George, Sierra Hurt, Lexi George, Cody George, Peyton George, Chelsey (Ben) Ryterski, and Skyler Briggs; great-grandchild, Benjamin Ryterski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Herr Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 501 W. Main, Collinsville, Illinois.  Funeral service will start at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ron Habermehl officiating.  Cremation will follow services.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
