Delray August Grotefendt, 71, of Collinsville, Ill., born Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1943, in Highland, Ill., passed away at 6:03 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Delray was a sales rep for RP Lumber in Edwardsville, Ill. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and a life member and past president of the Collinsville Jaycee and was also an Illinois Jaycee Senator. He helped establish and later coached for the Jaycee Raiders football. Delray was a loving husband, father and grandfather and would do anything for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Mildred, nee Conrad, Grotefendt; and brothers-in-law, Terry Roustio and Jim Lesicko.
Surviving are his wife, Donna, nee Roustio, Grotefendt, whom he married on Aug. 31, 1961; sons, Kevin Grotefendt of Charleston, Ill., and Keith (Maggie) Grotefendt of Collinsville, Ill.; daughter, Kim (Bryan) Reising of Collinsville, Ill.; sister, Donna (Bill) Feldman of Troy, Ill.; five grandchildren, Sam, Tori, Mitch, Jacob and Chris; mother-in-law, Magdelene Roustio; sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Mike) Smith and Sheila Lesicko; brothers-in-law, Steve (Vic) Roustio and Richard (Brenda) Roustio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Tony Minear officiating. Following the service the family invites all to a reception at the KC Hall in Collinsville.
