Dennis Calvert Courtaway, 56, of Caseyville, Ill., born August 17, 1955, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at Granite City Steel, Granite City, Ill.



Mr. Courtaway was a member of Community Bible Church, Swansea, Ill., and Steelworkers Local 50. He loved camping and being in the outdoors.



He was preceded in death by his father, Calvert Courtaway.



Surviving are his wife, Nancy, nee Huff, Courtaway of Caseyville, Ill., whom he married Feb. 4, 1983; his mother, Phyllis, nee Pyle, Courtaway-Sahr of Collinsville, Ill.; a son, Brandon Courtaway of Caseyville, Ill.; and a sister, Diane Courtaway-Litton of Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill., with Pastor Steven Rogier officiating. Burial will be held at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
