Dennis Edward Phegley, 67, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away at his home on September 7, 2021.

Dennis was born November 9, 1953,  to Dennis D. and Shirley (Newcombe) Phegley in East St. Louis, Illinois.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1971 until 1975.

During his career he worked as a machinist for Union District #9.

He was a former Commander in Chief for VFW post #8996 in State Park, Illinois, and a former  Mason of Grand Lodge of Illinois.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Jeannie Ferguson.

Survivors include his daughter, April O'Dell and husband Brad of Collinsville, Illinois; son, Jack Phegley and wife Suzanne of Collinsville, Illinois; brother, David Phegley and wife Tina of Troy, Illinois; sister, Annette Adams of Collinsville, Illinois; grandchildren:  Dylan Phegley, Dalton Phegley, and Logan O'Dell; and his companion, Kim Kwasny of Collinsville, Illinois.

Cremation has been accorded by Herr Funeral Home of Collinsville, Illinois.  No services are scheduled at this time.
