Derek J. Higginbotham, 25, passed away on March 26, 2025 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Derek was a loving son to Shirley Baucom, brother to Dustin Higginbotham, nephew to John Baucom and Eva Marie Murray, grandson to Sandra Higginbotham, and uncle to Westin Kinworthy.

He was preceded in death by his father Brian Higginbotham, step-father John Stempf, as well as grandparents Marie and John Baucom.

Derek was a homebody who loved spending time with his family and listening to his favorite music. The world will be a little dimmer without his light in it.
