Dianne' Wilma (Gergen) Nash, born on October 16, 1942, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026. She was a cherished member of her community and family, whose life was marked by dedication, creativity, and a deep love for those around her.
Dianne' pursued her passion for beauty and self-expression by attending cosmetology school, which paved the way for a fulfilling career in beauty cosmetology. She retired in 2015, leaving behind a legacy of skill and care that she shared with countless clients over the years.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dianne' found joy in many personal hobbies and interests. She had a fondness for fishing and camping, experiences that connected her closely with nature. Her love for flowers and gardening was a constant source of happiness and pride. Dianne' also delighted in re-decorating projects, as well as music and dancing, which brought color and rhythm to her life.
Her commitment to helping others was exemplified through her regular volunteer work at the Twiggs Food Pantry in Granite City, Illinois. This service brought comfort and support to many in need and remained one of her proudest accomplishments.
Dianne' is survived by her devoted children: Pamela Johnson (nee Nash), Rochelle Smith (Michael), and Raymond Nash Jr. Her loving grandchildren include James Murphy IV (Katrina), Damian Johnson (Marquitta), Dylan Johnson, Joseph Smith (Jenn), and Diana Smith (Zach). She was also a proud great-grandmother to Zoey Johnson, Choley Johnson, Zene Johnson, Cameron Johnson, Ayden Johnson, Austin Reed (Lexi), Blake Reed, and Paylin Shay Tadloch. Her siblings, who hold her dear in their hearts, are Zene Norman (Eleanor) Gergen, Robert Gergen, Don Gergen (Wendy), and Terry Gergen (Dixie) and Dean Gergen (Sharon), along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Dianne' was preceded in death by her loving parents, Zene and Bernice Gergen (nee Dumont), husband, Raymond Nash Sr. and her sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Frank Kruta.
Throughout her life, Dianne' Wilma Nash touched the lives of those who knew her with kindness, creativity, and an enduring spirit. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate to share in her journey.

Services for Mrs. Nash will be held 2:00pm, May 1, 2026, from the chapel of Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, IL. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00am until the hour of service.
Mrs. Nash will be laid to rest at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates.
