Dixie Allen Farris, 91, of Granite City, Illinois, died Monday, June 27th, 2016. She was born November 13, 1924 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Henry C. and Florence E. nee Bailey, Legate.

Dixie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Farris, two sons; Jerry Farris and Douglas Farris, and one great-grandson.

She is survived by daughters; Shirley (Bob) Rickert of Granite City, Illinois and Linda (Carl) Leggans of Granite City, Illinois. She is further survived by grandchildren; Ashley Burgoon, Austin Prindable, Carl Wayne Prindable, Leonard Crone, Kenny Crone, Mike Crone, Lenny Ramsey, April Smith, Denny Crone and Pam Alessio, Jamie, Christy, Penny, Jessie and Wendy; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; also a special niece, Debbie Beasley.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, June 30th, 2016 at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon.

Funeral will be at 11:00 am Friday, July 1st, 2016 at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Illinois. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Illinois.
