Don "Kim" Ehlers, age 69, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2024 at his home in Marine, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary Ehlers.

Kim married Rebecca Ann Fahnster on May 31, 1986, and enjoyed 38 wonderful years of marriage together.

He is survived by his beloved wife; Rebecca, daughters; Robyn (Brian) Owens of Georgia and Tammy Place of Troy, IL., 3 grandchildren; Jordan Michaela, Noah Ryan (Kristen) Owens and Seth Alan Owens, sister; Karen (Tony) Lohagen of Bunker Hill, IL.

Kim loved woodworking and making beautiful pieces of furniture. He also enjoyed his Harley-Davidson trike, traveling and trying new restaurants.

Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and making wonderful memories together that everyone will always cherish.

A celebration of life will be held in Kim's honor on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, IL.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the hour of service.

Following the celebration of life, Kim will be laid to rest at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate if you would make a donation in Kim's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
