Donald Clifford "Donnie" Schroen III, 37, of Collinsville, Ill., born Dec. 31, 1974, in Belleville, Ill., died at 6:41 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. Schroen was a U.S. Army veteran.

Donald was preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers, Donald C. Schroen Sr., and Edward L. Garth; and maternal grandmother, Lillian M. Showers.

Surviving are his mother, Sharon, nee Smith, Schroen of Collinsville, Ill.; father, Donald Clifford Schroen Jr., of Collinsville, Ill.; fiancee, Laura Weidler of Collinsville, Ill.; paternal grandmother, Marietta (Bob) Sprague of Collinsville, Ill.; sister, Rachel (Wayne) Kaminski of Collinsville, Ill.; and brother, Erik (Lisa) Schroen of Collinsville, Ill.; nieces, Kayla M. Kaminski and Rylee J. Schroen; and a nephew, Garrett W. Kaminski.

Funeral: Graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo., with the Rev. Hal Santos officiating.
