Donald L. Madelaine, 78, of Caseyville, Ill., born June 30, 1935, in East St. Louis, Ill., died at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

Mr. Madelaine was self employed for more than 40 years as a carpet contractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Alfreda Madelaine.

Surviving are his wife, Sandie, nee Harris, Madelaine of Caseyville, Ill.; daughters, Debra Bevineau of Belleville, Ill., Kathy (Fred) Helms of Freeburg, Ill., Teresa (Bill) Behnen of O'Fallon, Ill., and Pamela (Dennis) Schenhanuer of Belleville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Herr Funeral Home in Caseyville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at the funeral home with the Rev. Tony Minear officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in St. John Cemetery in Collinsville, Ill.
