Donald Ray McCann, 91, of Caseyville passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.  Donald was born in East St. Louis on December 8, 1931 to parents Roger Ray and Emma Willis McCann (nee Flynt).

Donald was a mechanic for over 50 years, and retired from Broadway Ford in St. Louis after first working at Night Hawk Freight Company.  He enjoyed working on all types of cars, and could usually be found in his garage, working on one of his many projects.  Donald also enjoyed woodworking, and would often do the wood workings for Barbara's crafts.  Donald was a proud member of Caseyville Methodist Church, and was inducted into The Society of John Wesley.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Emma McCann; and siblings, Delores Hadfield, Joyce Tucker, Roger McCann, Mary Warner, and Robert McCann.

Those left to cherish Donald's memory include his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Barbara McCann; children, Donald Scott McCann of Maryville, Cynthia Anne Waterman of Livingston, Daniel Ray McCann of Caseyville, Brian Keith McCann of Freeburg, and William Joseph McCann of Caseyville; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services for Donald will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive in Glen Carbon, IL.  Visitation Friday from 10:00AM until time of services at 11:00AM.  Internment to follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project will be appreciated.
