Donald Victor Meyer, 69, of Collinsville, Ill., born Sept. 27, 1945, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.

Don retired as an engineer from the Kansas City/Southern Railroad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Dorothy, nee McLester, Meyer.

Surviving are his wife, Linda K., nee Vaughn, Meyer of Collinsville, Ill.; his son, Clayton Meyer of Collinsville, Ill.; and his sister, Penny Meyer of Granite City, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Kasten officiating. Per request, cremation rites will be accorded.
