Donald R. Rill, age 85, of St. Louis, Mo., born January 18, 1930, passed away March 20, 2015, of natural causes at his residence.

Donald was born in Granite City, Ill., and he graduated from Granite City High and Asbury College of Wilmore, Kentucky. He was a member of Bricklayers Union BAC #1 and ran a small business installing custom fireplaces and firescreens.

He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Shirley Robbins, and his older brother, Paul.

Surviving are his older brother, Edwin Rill of Sacramento, California; son, Jonathan (Cynthia) Rill of St. Louis, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katherine.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. " 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill., followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill., with reception to follow.
