Donald Keith Wood, 79, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at his home.

Donald was born February 28, 1942, in Wellsville, Ohio, to Robert Mascene and Marie Josephine (Oliver) Wood. On December 10, 1982, he and Dawn G. Clark were married and shared 43 years together.

During his working career, he was employed by Laura Buick as the Manager for many years. Donald was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Edwardsville. He enjoyed watching the Cardinal's games, playing golf, and was given the title of World's Best Communicator. He was known for his joke telling, wit and sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; and sister, Katie.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dawn Wood of Glen Carbon, Illinois; sister, Barbara Konrad of Collierville, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Donald's life will be held at a later date.

Cremation has been accorded by Sunset Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Glen Carbon, Illinois.
