Donald E. Wright, of Maryville, Ill., born Dec. 14, 1934, in Wetaug, Ill., the son of the late Scott and Helen Wright. He was baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at the age of 76.
Mr. Wright was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the 2nd Armored Calvary Division, a member of Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, Ill., and the Collinsville Rec. Club, Donald was a Ainad Shriner with membership at the temple in East St. Louis, Ill., and Granite City, Ill., member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 126 out of Granite City, Ill., the American Legion in Collinsville, Ill., he was a master mason of Triple Lodge 835 in Granite City, Ill., Mr. Wright retired from Granite City Steel after 41 years of dedicated service.
Surviving are his sons, Michael (Sandee) Wright of Prior Lake Minn., Christopher Wright of Quincy, Ill.; his daughters, Suzanne (Leland) Gonzalez of Hillsboro, Mo., and Patricia (Myron) Potthast of Columbia, Ill.; and his sister, Delores Martin.
Most importantly, of all the titles one could have bestowed on themselves, he was a great loving dad, grandfather and friend of many.
