Donna Jean Pelate, 84, of Caseyville, Illinois passed away Sunday, January 13 ^th , 2019. She was born to Gene and Helen (Weaver) Kniser in O'Fallon, Illinois, on February 28 ^th , 1934.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry E. Pelate, children, Harry E. Pelate, Jr., Ronald D. Pelate, brothers, Roland Kniser, Russell Schuessler, Raymond Schuessler, and grandson Eric Pelate.

Donna is survived by daughter, Lauri J. (Dan) Downes of Bland, Missouri, grandchildren, Amanda (Adam) Pelate, Melissa Pelate, Kelly (Chris) Kent, Kim (Blake) Kent, Gwen Pelate. She is further survived by great grandchildren, William, Landon, Declan, Brianna, Parker, Aiden and Aubrey and brother, William Schuessler, and sister, Gertie Kaufman and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 16 ^th , 2019 at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville.

Funeral will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 16 ^th , 2019 at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville.

Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, Illinois.

Memorials may be given to Unity Hospice and may be received at the funeral home.
