Doris Joan (Kalina) Griness, 88, of Collinsville, Illinois passed away December 27 ^th , 2018. She was born on July 19 ^th , 1930 in Collinsville, Illinois to Charles Joseph and Helen Lenora (Anderson) Kalina.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, one husband, Robert Edward Griness, and an infant sister, Mary Kalina.

She is survived by cousins, Janet Pitts of Collinsville, Illinois, Madeline Kalina, Mary Adda Caminiti, Mary Carleen Gollahan, and her Pinochle players, Evelyn Foster, Gail Adams, and Chris Martin, who was also her caregiver. Ronna Cooper, her caregiver and nurse and numerous family and friends.

Doris worked at St. Elizabeth's Hospital for many years, was a member of the Daughter of Isabelles and an AARP member. She attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, Illinois. She loved playing cards and games.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Vitas Hospice and Visiting Angels for their care and compassions shown to Doris during her time of need.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 2 ^nd , 2019 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, with Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 am, interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
