Doris K Wood-Davis, aged 72, of Granite City, Illinois passed away peacefully on March 31st, 2023 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Doris was born on June 15th, 1950 to parents Lee William Wood and Hazel LaVera Gum in Granite City, Illinois.

Doris attended some college classes and worked as an office administrator at the SIUE School of Nursing for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and aunt who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her son, James Davis, and his wife Jennifer. Her four grandchildren Jacob Davis, Amber Davis, Tyler Davis, and Sydney Davis. She is also survived by her brother Carl Wood and his wife, Linda;  and her sister Joyce Davenport. Her nieces and nephews Stacey White and her husband, Richard, Amy Nunn and her husband, Rob, Ryan Davenport and his wife, Anisha, Bradley Davenport and his wife, Kristie, numerous loving great nieces and nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Doris is preceded in death by her brother in law, Jim Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at Sunset Hill Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 5th, from 5:00-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 6th, 2023 at 10:00am with Reverend Susan Harrison officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service on Thursday at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates.
