Dorothy Mae Brennan, nee Wedemeyer, 91, of Collinsville, Ill., born Nov. 19, 1920, in Collinsville, Ill., died at 6:12 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Mrs. Brennan was a member of the Collinsville American Legion Auxiliary, Collinsville Senior Center, serving as secretary for many years. She was one of the founders of the Collinsville Junior Service Club. Dorothy had a great love for dancing and enjoyed dancing at the Collinsville Park and Fireman's Hall. She also played piano at the Senior Center for their meetings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Brennan; and her parents, William and Monica, nee Zucas, Wedemeyer.
Surviving are her sons, Joe (Susan) Brennan of Collinsville, Ill., and Kevin Brennan of Florida; grandchildren, Joey (Ranae) Brennan of Grand Junction, Colo., and Kim (Dan) Machado of Grand Junction, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Machado and Ciarra Gomez; and sisters, Mary Jane Gudelauski of Caseyville, Ill., and Kathy Parker of Glen Carbon, Ill.
