Dorothy G. Sartin, 90, of Caseyville, Illinois passed away peacefully on November 17, 2023 at Caseyville Nursing Home. She was born on June 13, 1933 in Nashville, Tennessee. She married Billie D. Sartin Sr. on May 26, 1950. They enjoyed many years together before his passing in 1995.

Those left to cherish Dorothy's memory are her daughter Wanda J. Long of Alton, IL, son Charles (Martha) Sartin of Cibiolo, TX, son Billie (Kristi) Sartin Jr., 6 grandchildren; Tammy White of Alton, IL, Michelle (Mike) Long of Bismark, MO, Amy (Ron) Anderson of Carlyle, IL, Brandon Harris of Lebanon, IL, Derek Jonas of Caseyville, IL, Megan Jonas of Caseyville, IL, 14 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren and many more family and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Billie D. Sartin Sr., father Winburn E. Law, mother Vera Mae Law nee Cook, grandfather James A. Law, grandmother Nellie Law nee Ayers, son in law John W. Long Jr., great granddaughter Remington Rae'Lynn Jonas, and great great granddaughter Amora Rose Long.

Dorothy loved to crochet and was talented in her needlework. She collected porcelain dolls and was a devoted church member for many years. She especially loved Andes Chocolate Mints and enjoyed them often. Dorothy was a beloved wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, who truly enjoyed time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Services will be held at Herr Funeral Home, 501 W. Main Street, Collinsville, Illinois with visitation Monday, November 27, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., an additional visitation on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. The burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon, Illinois.
