Douglas Covey, 76, of Troy, Illinois passed away Wednesday, September 26 ^th , 2018. He was born October 28 ^th , 1941 in Staten Island, New York, to Anna Josephine (Edwards) Covey.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. (Morris) Covey.

Doug is survived by daughters; Cindy Covey and Sandy A. (Tracey, Sr) Boyer, one son, William Covey, one brother, Dennis Covey, and three sisters; Chloe Pierle, Susan LaGree and Judy Covey.

He is further survived by grandchildren; Tracey "TJ" Boyer, Jr., Gina M. Covey, Patric Covey, Samantha Boyer and Holly Covey and great-grandsons; Carson Boyer and Levi Covey.

Douglas served in the Armed Forces and later worked for Monsanto Chemical in a variety of roles, most notably as a Rail Clerk.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3 ^rd , 2018 at Herr Funeral Home, 501 W. Main, Collinsville, Illinois. A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home, two hours prior to services from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
