Douglas W. Bardmass, 68, of Collinsville, Ill., born Aug. 6, 1944, in East St. Louis, Ill. died at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Bardmass was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He had worked for Swing City Music in Collinsville, Ill., and also for Sony Corp.

Douglas was preceded in death by a son, Steven Bardmass; and his parents, William C. and Norma, nee Fredendall, Bardmass.

Surviving are his wife, Judith, nee Happel, Bardmass of Collinsville, Ill., whom he married on March 8, 1965; son, Ronald (Annette) Bardmass of Edwardsville, Ill.; daughter, Julia (Bill) Lane of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Douglas W. Bardmass of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Megan Erika Bardmass of Edwardsville, Ill.; and great-granddaughter, Hailey Lynn Maguire Bardmass.
