Douglas Lee Wedeking Sr, age 75, of Belleville, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on April 8, 1950, in East St. Louis, Illinois to Emil and Ethel Wedeking (nee Rasp).

Douglas enjoyed working in his yard and planting flowers.

He worked for the Belleville Humane Society for 31 years and worked for the Casino Queen for 20 years.

Douglas is survived by his wife; Danielle Wedeking, sons; Douglas (Jenny) Wedeking Jr., Scott (Shannon) Wedeking, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren and his beloved dog Tyler.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Emil and Ethel Wedeking, sister; Pat Wedeking, and brother; Steve Wedeking.

In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Douglas's memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held from the chapel of HERR Funeral Home at 5:00pm, Friday, June 27, 2025.
