Edgar W. "Ed" Wille, 94, of Glen Carbon, Ill., born Sept. 26, 1919, in Maryville, Ill., passed away at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, Ill.

Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of VFW Post 5691 in Collinsville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elanora, nee Kuhlmann, Wille; and daughter, Patty Wille.

Surviving are his wife, Ann M., nee Skundrich, Wille, whom he married on Sept. 13, 1996; and stepson, Richard Schall of Wichita, Kan.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at Meridian Village with Pastor Brad Thomas officiating. Per request, cremation rites will be accorded and committal services will be private.
