Edna Irene Bono, 97, a resident of Granite City, Illinois for 75 years, passed away Monday, February 17th, 2025. She was born January 18th, 1928, to parents Ed and Myrtle Lasswell Clay.

Edna married Derwood Bono and celebrated 55 years of love and marriage together before his passing on July 27th, 2005.

She is survived by her Children: Carol (Jr) Snyder, Janet (Lee) Reighart, Sharon (Steve) Hileman, Keith (Michelle) Bono, nine Grandchildren, fourteen Great Grandchildren, and three Great-Great Grandchildren.

Edna was an active leader for many years with the Girl Scouts of America, GCHS Band Parents, Elementary school volunteer, as well as volunteering at Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City. She had a passion for decorating, traveling, reading, and gardening. She took these passions and created a career for herself, as in later years she became an interior decorator.

Edna will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones, but find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her dear beloved husband, Derwood.
