Edna M. Mitchell, nee Hormann, 90, of Collinsville, Ill., born April 6, 1922, in Venice, Ill., died on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo.

Mrs. Mitchell was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. She was a member of the United Church of God in Troy, Ill.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, William and Maud, nee Medder, Hormann; a daughter, Elizabeth Mitchell; a son, Mark Mitchell; four brothers; and three sisters.

Surviving are her daughter, Patricia (Tim) Hasamear of Collinsville, Ill.; sons, C. Doc Mitchell of Shook, Mo., and Roy E. (Stephaine) Mitchell of Middle Town, Va.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
