Edward T Cunningham II, age 68, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at 2:33pm at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois.

Edward was born on December 20th, 1957, in East St louis to Edward and Louise Cunningham. Edward is survived by Denise, his loving wife of 42 years; his children Melaney (Brad) Winslade, Natalie (Andy) Poulter, Ed III (Lacey) Cunningham, Liam (Holly) Cunningham, and Alina Cunningham; brother Michael (Nichole) Cunningham; three grandchildren Addison Coleman, Willow and Killian Cunningham; his many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.  He is preceded in death by parents Edward and Louise Cunningham.

Edward was retired from US Steel as a craneman after 43 years of employment.  He enjoyed playing slow pitch and fast pitch softball, golf, and volleyball throughout his years, attending concerts with his wife and daughter, was an avid player of Dungeons and Dragons with an ability to create incredibly unique characters and stories, and had an extreme passion for ensuring all outfits and hats were color coordinated at all times.
