Edward Keuss, 98, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born Nov. 12, 1914, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Eden Village Care Center, Glen Carbon, Ill.
Mr. Keuss worked 15 years for Monsanto Company and retired in 1974 from Dow Consolidated Aluminum Company as an electrician and instrument repair technician. He was an avid tennis and pool player well into his later years and had a great love of fishing, boating and water skiing. Edward was also an avid pinochle player for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vernice "Niecie" Keuss; daughter, Debra Karchuck; parents, Albert H. and Marie, nee Leva, Keuss; stepmother, Tillie Nuernberger; and brother, Albert H. Keuss Jr.
Surviving are his children, Leah (Henry) Horner of Collinsville, Ill., Karen Clymer of Collinsville, Ill., Edward (Sandra) Keuss of Sauget, Ill., and Kim (Robert) Mross of Ormond Beach, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
