Edward Schillinger, 83, of Collinsville, Illinois, and California, passed away Thursday, May 2 ^nd , 2019. He was born March 1 ^st , 1936 in Bralorne, British Columbia, Canada to Jakob and Lily (Lien) Schillinger.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Edward is survived by his wife, Carol (Martin-Jacks) Schillinger of Collinsville, Illinois, children; Jakob Schillinger of California, August Schillinger of California, Max (Kristine) Schillinger of Alaska and Emilie (Justin) Themens of South Carolina, four grandchildren, sister; Brenda Schillinger of Washington, Linda Schillinger of Washington, Sally Cole of Seattle, Washington, and brothers; Gordon Schillinger of Toledo, Washington and Jack Schillinger of Olympia, Washington.

Edward served with the National Guard and later the Peace Corps. He was a Civil Engineer/Surveyor by trade. His profession took him to many parts of the world, while his passion for life allowed him to share what he learned with those he would build lifelong connections with.

Services will be private in Washington.
