She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mame Tanase; her husband, Jerry Castegnaro; former husband, Bill Periera; grandson, Ramon Howell; and son-in-law Kenneth Papproth.
Elaine was a proud member of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Eastern Orthodox Church, often assisting with their fundraising efforts. She enjoyed cross-stitching, playing bingo, traveling, reading, spending quality time with her family - she especially loved hosting big holiday get togethers, and watching movies on the Hallmark and Lifetime channels. Elaine also experienced joy watching her husband, Jerry, play music with numerous bands at countless venues and she enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Barkley and George.
She was a bit of jack of all trades- taking part in several different careers in her life. From working in the postal service in California to working at a bakery to being a bookkeeper at a moving company. Her greatest passion, though, was being a foster grandparent where she was able to provide mentorship to children and aide to teachers within the school district.
Elaine will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
