Elaine Jeanne Sullivan passed away peacefully in her sleep at 4 a.m.on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012. She was 92 years old.
She was born Elaine Jeanne Fasenmyer, on Aug. 14, 1920, in Kansas City, Mo. She was the second of three daughters born to Joseph Anthony and Estelle Louise, nee Harrison, Fasenmyer.

In 1950, Elaine and Philip would then join Bill in an overseas Air Force assignment to Athens, Greece. Elaine and Bill desperately wanted to have more children and they hoped it would happen in Greece. However, the result was a miscarriage that was both painful and traumatic for her.
In 1953, Elaine, Bill and Philip relocated to Sioux City, Iowa, and then to Whiteman AFB, Knob Noster, Mo., in 1956. During these two stateside assignments, she and Bill then hit the jackpot and gave birth to William Henry Sullivan III, (1954), Joseph Ralston Sullivan (1955), and Amy Louise Sullivan (1958).
Elaine and Bill would now be reassigned to Blytheville AFB, Ark., where Bill would finish out his Air Force career and retire in October of 1963.
