Elaine Ann (Allen) Hartley of Collinsville Ill., died Saturday April 14, 2012, in Edwardsville Ill.



She was born Feb. 21, 1932 in Mount Vernon, Ill. A member of First United Methodist Church in Collinsville, she was a graduate of SIU Carbondale and Western Illinois University and a junior high counselor in Collinsville Unit 10 at North and Webster Jr. High.



Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mark (Deana) Hartley of Parker Colo.; daughters, Lisa Hartley of Pagosa Springs Colo., and Beth (Alex) Raftopoulos of Granite City, Ill. Grandchildren, Jessica (Eric) Tarkanian and great-grandchild, Lucy Tarkanian, Lauren Hartley, Dylan Hartley, Lisa Raftopoulos and Nick Raftopoulos; and dear friend, Neal Strebel; brother, Bill (Tracy) Starkey; sisters, Jane (Bill) Scates and Pat Sanders. Close to Christina (Starkey) Richardson, Michael Starkey and Shane Recer.



Mrs. Hartley was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred (Smith) Starkey, her step father, Webber Starkey and her father, Herbert S. Allen.
