Elizabeth Lukoszyk (nee Laufer), 91, of Collinsville, IL., passed away on Sunday,
August 28, 2022.

Born October 11, 1930 to parents Gustav Laufer and Anna Laufer (nee Meisinger) in
Munich, Germany, she enjoyed a long life full of many interesting and colorful tales.
She was preceded in death by both parents, as well as her husband, Master Sergeant
Joseph J. Lukoszyk, whom she married in Frankfurt, Germany on July 4, 1953. She is
survived by her loving son, Michael Lukoszyk of Collinsville, IL.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Lukoszyk enjoyed spending time with her black Labrador
retrievers and was an avid knitter. She gave many of her knitting projects away to friends
and family; items that varied from pot holders to blankets to shawls. She also traveled
extensively, moving with her husband from Germany to the United States during his time
with the Air Force.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at SS
Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, IL., immediately followed by a funeral
mass. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
