Obituary

Eloise E. Tegel 89 of E. Carondolet, Illinois and formerly of Granite City, Ill. passed away on Wednesday October 26, 2016. She was born in National City, Illinois on October 7, 1927 the daughter of the late Norman C. and Cleo nee Long Gardner. She was also preceded by her husband Peter Paul whom she married on October 30, 1943. Also two sons Gerald & Joseph P. and a sister Nina Shelton.

Eloise was a loving homemaker who enjoyed baking, singing, recording and playing the organ and crocheting. She was a faithful member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Granite City, Illinois. She also kept up on electronics and computers. Was a very creative person who enjoyed creating personalized greeting cards and labels for CD''s and DVD''s.

She is survived by her children Peter Paul (Celia) Tegel of San Diego, Ca., William A. (Helen) Tegel of Florissant, Mo., Anita L Bell of Troy, Ill., Robert (Laura) Tegel of Godfrey, Ill., Sharon (Anthony) Manning of E. Carondolet, Ill. and Sandra L. (Richard) Wiley of Granite City, Ill. 25 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters Billy (Jessie) Gardner of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., Norma Miller-Campbell of Iberia, Mo., Norman (Dorothy) Gardner Jr. Granite City, Ill., May Jane (Lloyd) Shelton of Belleville, Illinois and Donna (Robert) Morris of Kaiser, Mo.

Visitation: Friends may call at the Sunset Hill Funeral Home 50 Fountain Dr. Glen Carbon, Ill. on Monday October 31, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday November 1, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hope Lutheran Church 3715 Wabash in Granite City, Ill.

Services: Funeral services will be conducted at Hope Lutheran Church Granite City, Ill on Tuesday November 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Alan Beuster officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens Glen Carbon, Illinois.
