Elva Irene, nee Hutchings, Bair, 97, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, IL. She was born on July 26, 1919 in Peabody, KS to Thomas and Lilly May, nee Jarvis, Hutchings.

She married Milton Bair on December 11th, 1938. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Velma Moss.

She is survived by her two daughters; Patty (Roger) Lutley of Edwardsville and Judy (Steve) Maxson of Dorchester; six grandchildren; Stephen (Tammy) Maxson Jr, Patricia Sue (Steven) Potter, Amy Lynne (Rich) Baumann, Adam Lutley, Erik (Lilianna) Lutley, and Wendy Anne (Joe) Segrest; ten great-grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.

When living in Walla Walla, WA, Elva worked for Baker Boyer Bank in their trust department. She also worked as the secretary for the Chamber of Commerce in Walla Walla for many years. In 2004 she moved to Illinois where her daughters & their families reside.

Arrangements are being handled with Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, Ill. Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnent will be at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery in Walla Walla, WA.
