Emanuel Mac Lance, passed away on May 19, 2024. He was born July 6, 1927 in Alton, Missouri, and was the last survivor of 7 children. He was raised on a farm in Southern Missouri by Mother Lora Harrell Lance and Father Sterling Lance.

He moved to St. Louis in his early 20's to work at Granite City Steel where he worked for 44 years. Retiring in 1994 he enjoyed the next 30 years in his wood shop, gardening, mowing grass, shopping and watching the news. He was married for 69 years with his wife Lillian preceding him in death 4 months ago. They had 6 children. Linda passed as an infant in 1955. 4 sons Alan, Rondel, Paul & Micah and 1 daughter Lorna were born over the next 20 years. He added onto a small home in Granite City, Illinois to create a family gathering place for the remainder of his life. He was a faithful attender of Cedar View church then Calvary Life Church for his adult life.

Along with his 5 children and their spouses, he leaves 18 grandkids and an ever-growing number of great grandkids currently at 19. His 96 years on earth allowed him to see many parts of the world and to watch his family into future generations.

A visitation will begin at 9:30 am with the funeral service at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Dr. Glen Carbon, Illinois. Burial will follow.
