Obituary

Erminio "Adam" Borri, 81, of Maryville, IL, passed away peacefully at Liberty Village in Maryville, IL on October 3, 2022.

Adam was born on March 29, 1941, to Aldo and Clarice Borri (Romagnoli) in Montese, Italy.  He moved to the United States with his parents in 1956 and attended Collinsville High School.

In 1963, Adam married Mary (Stoces) Borri at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Glen Carbon, IL.  Adam and Mary raised three children, Anthony " Tony" (Lori) Borri of Festus, MO., John (Alicia) Borri of Troy, IL., and Marie (Michael) Brown of Troy, IL.

He leaves behind five grandchildren: Cameron (Brittni) Borri, Dillon (Maria) Borri, Austin Borri, Zachary (Lina) Brown, and Marissa Brown.

After high school, he and his dad started their own construction company, Borri Construction, and built many homes in the surrounding area.  He enjoyed being a contractor and helped many friends and family with their remodeling projects.

In his free time, he enjoyed coaching his children in sports, especially soccer.  He would volunteer his time to help run the Collinsville Soccer Association while holding many different positions over the years including President.

He loved taking his family on camping trips, spending time with his grandchildren, and visiting with friends telling stories while sharing a good laugh.
