Ernest David Brannon, 79, of Greenville, Illinois, born July 13th, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 5th, 2016.

Ernest was a retired Boilermaker. He served his country valiantly in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Mason, also involved with the Scottish-Rite and was a member of the Marine Corps League.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia Belle, nee Watts, Brannon.

Ernest is survived by Friend and Long-Time Companion, Rosemary Stiles, one brother, Joseph (Janet) Brannon of Dublin, Ohio, and two sisters; Ginger Young of California and Mary Lou (Alby) Brakespear of Escondido, California.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children''s Hospital.

Visitation will be Friday, July 8th, 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Herr Funeral Home, Caseyville, Illinois.

Interment will follow in Caseyville Cemetery.
