Eugene Lee Stirnaman, 86, of Collinsville, Ill., born July 4, 1926, in St. Louis, Mo., died at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at his residence.
Eugene retired from Carter Carburetor in St. Louis as general foreman. A Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Collinsville VFW, a World War II veteran, Khoury League manager and Cub Scout leader. He also belonged to the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Stirnaman; and his parents, Francis and Elizabeth, nee Albertson, Stirnaman.
Surviving are his wife, Norma, nee Roux, Stirnaman, whom he married on June 29, 1946; children, Barbara (Michael) Hasamear of Collinsville, Ill., Robert (Sue Grafe) Stirnaman of Collinsville, Ill., Donald (Carol Adams) Stirnaman of Troy, Ill., Mary Walker of Collinsville, Ill., Karen (Kirk) Chapman of Collinsville, Ill., Jane (Kenneth) McAllister of Collinsville, Ill., and Nancy (Greg) Castelli of Freeburg, Ill.; a sister, Rita (John) Marica of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Kenneth (Betty) Stirnaman of St. Louis, Mo., and Russell (Ginny) Stirnaman of St. Louis, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Father John Beveridge officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
