Eula Mercedes "Mac" (Vaughn) Schneider, 84, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Alton Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Granite City on Sept. 25, 1928, to David Lee and Grace Isabel Vaughn.

She is survived by a son, James (Nancy) Schneider of Wood River; one grandchild, Dustin (Heather) Schneider of Worden; one great-grandchild, Reagan Schneider of Worden; two brothers, Vernon Vaughn and Harry Vaughn, both of Troy, Ill.; and a sister, Hazel Harris of Decatur, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bill Vaughn, and two sisters, Helen and Rosalee Lipe.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, with Pastor Mike Lawrence officiating.

Burial at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
