Evelyn G. Kraegenbrink, nee Gerling, 90, of Collinsville, Ill., formerly of Carlinville, Ill. born Nov. 15, 1922, in Henry County, Mo., died at 1:55 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2013, in Collinsville, Ill.

Mrs. Kraegenbrink was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville, Ill., and a past member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Carlinville, Ill. She was a Sunday School teacher at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil P. Kraegenbrink, whom she married on Dec. 9, 1945; parents, August H. and Amelia, nee Kranz, Gerling; and two sisters, Bertha Gerling and Sylvia Gerling.

Surviving are her daughter, Grace McPherson of Collinsville, Ill.; son, Paul (Charlotte) Kraegenbrink of Collinsville, Ill.; sister, Isabel (Charles) Boehning of Fredericktown, Mo.; grandchildren, Colleen, Brian (Tracy Smith), Amy (Danny) Shea and Kurt; and great-grandchildren, Destiny, Matteo, Keira, Dustin, Michelle and Aaliyah.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville, Ill., with the Rev. Michael Walther officiating. Interment in Frieden's Cemetery in Troy, Ill.
