Evelyn Elaine Holmes, 70 years old of Granite City, IL, passed away on April 6, 2020 in Granite City. She was born July 6, 1949 in Ferguson, MO.

Evelyn was proceeded by her parents Fred Roesch and Frieda (McKinder) Roesch,  four sisters, Joyce Jackson, Doris Wells, Ella Kimbrel and Rita Flannigan.  Survived by her loving husband, James Holmes, daughter Brenda Holmes of Granite City and son James Holmes, Jr. of Granite City, sister Norma Schaffter of Eureka, MO and three grandchildren.

Private services will be held at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, IL.  Burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital.
