Fay M. Keeler, nee Meadows, 80, of Collinsville, Ill., born Dec. 24, 1930, in Erin, Tenn., died at 11:35 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at her residence.
Fay was the matriarch of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robbie and Katie, nee Burcham, Meadows.
Surviving are her husband, William "Bill" Keeler whom she married on July 18, 1955, at Kinley Air Force Base in Bermuda; daughter, Susan Pohl of Henderson, Nev.; son, Jim (Toni) Fitzgerald of Southlake, Texas; two sisters, Peggy Taylor of Collinsville, Ill., and Suzi Lundak of Troy, Ill.; brother, Buddy Meadows of Blue Springs, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Jamie, Ann and William Fitzgerald.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society . Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.herrfuneral.com
Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Don Baker officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
