Floyd Carter, 70, of Collinsville, Ill., born March 27, 1941, in McDougal Ark., died on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark.
Floyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be sadly missed by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Carter; his parents, Floyd E. and Flora, nee Morland, Carter; a son-in-law, William Ralls Jr.; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Mary Lou; and an infant brother, Lloyd.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Carter of Collinsville, Ill.; children, Lloyd (Christine) Carter of Collinsville, Ill., Bridget Ralls of New Baden, Ill., and Guy Carter of Collinsville, Ill.; sisters, Kathy Qualls-Mays of Kirksville, Mo., and Brenda from Steelville, Mo.; a brother, Billy Galvin; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Habermehl officiating. Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.
