Obituary

Frances C. Boothman, 79, of Collinsville, Ill., born Thursday, March 12, 1936, in Springfield, Ill., died Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones.

Frances was a successful hairstylist for 40 years. Along with her husband, Robert, they owned and operated Red Fox Grocery in Venice Ill., for 22 years. She put her heart and soul in her family and her work. She was a long time member of the Lakeview Garden Club, which she deeply loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Grace E. Swank Luce; her beloved grandmother, Lavina Swank; and her lifelong friends, Verla Stratton and Janiece Swalley.

Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Boothman, whom she married in 1969; daughter, Dawn (James) Brown; grandchildren, Jacob and Lauren Brown; son, James M. Bauer; sister, Shirley Cress; brother, John (Janice) Swank; many loved nieces and nephews; and her extended family, Gary Swalley and family, and the Roustio family.

We love you Frannie, you will be deeply missed.

She's in the sun, the wind, the rain, she's in the air you breathe with every breath you take. She sings a song of hope and cheer, there's no more pain, no more fear. You'll see her in the clouds above, hear her whisper words of love. You'll be together before long, until then listen for her song.

-Christy Ann Martine
