Francis R. Anson Jr., 67, of Collinsville, Ill., born June 25, 1945, in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., died at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Anson proudly served his country as a Vietnam veteran in the U.S. Army, receiving a Bronze Star with V for Valor. He then worked as a systems analyst for the United States Government and then a help desk technician for Computer Sciences Corp. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Francis "Frankie" Anson; his parents, Francis Robert and Winifred, nee Pursley, Anson Sr.; and a sister, Connie Anson.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, nee Jackson, Anson of Collinsville, Ill.; three daughters, April Anson of Collinsville, Ill., Rachel Green of Collinsville, Ill., and Amelia Sinn of Edwardsville, Ill.; three sisters, Mary Hennessy of Raleigh, N.C., Patricia Henry of Kansas City, Mo., and Jeannie McMonigle of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Bill Anson of Kansas City, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Braeden Anson, Kristen Green and Ivy Sinn.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the funeral home with Father John Beveridge officiating.
