Frank S. Presson, 74, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at home with family by his side.
Frank was born in Murphysboro, IL to Charles and Marjorie Presson on January 11, 1950. He graduated from Collinsville High School in 1968 and worked as a machinist for U.S. Steel in Granite City, IL before retiring in 2008. He married Debbie Presson in 2000 (she survives) and together they have three sons.
Frank had a passion for outdoor activities (fishing, hunting, camping, canoeing, boating, shooting and flying lessons). He also enjoyed riding his motorcycles, traveling, cooking and found the most pleasure in spending time with his family and friends.
Frank leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his family; wife, Debbie Presson; mother, Marjorie Presson; two sons, Shawn and Joshua (Suzie); a son by marriage, Daniel (Brenda) James; grandchildren, Dillon, Jonathan, Ava, great granddaughter Josephine and grandchildren by marriage Olivia, Vivian and Oliver James.
Frank is also survived by his sister, Patricia Presson of Washington, several nieces and nephews, Patrick (Becky) Presson, Ryan (Sarah) Presson, Elizabeth (Mike) Thompson, Erica Stephens, great-nieces and nephews, Madison, Logan, Brock, Brinley, and Luella.
Frank was preceded in death by his beloved father, Charles Presson and his brother, Ron Presson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Sunset Hill Funeral Home at 50 Fountain Dr., Glen Carbon, IL between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sunset Hill Funeral Home. The Reverend Ron Habermehl will be officiating.
As a tribute to Frank's life, his family will be receiving donations for the Alpha and Omega State Park Food Pantry located at 3301 Harvard Place, Collinsville, IL 62239. Donations may be accepted directly at the Alpha and Omega Church food back via their website or physical location.
